Help!!

I've been dealing with my ADHD for more than half my life now. But it's only been in the past couple year, that its been near impossible for me to manage it like I used to, its like all the cooping technics I've learned through the years just don't work and more. I feel like I'm cooping double dutch but I'm stuck on the side bouncing back and forth waiting to jump in but can't and I don't know why.

This whole time in my life is so incredibly frustrating. Knowing what and how I need to do things to get my life back on track but just can't seem to actually do it, and no matter where is go I just can't get my point across as to what I need.

I feel like most people I speak with, are just quiet long enough for me to lvent my frustrations only to tell me what they THINK I should do. I feel like a lost cause.

I have the planning, to-do list, and organizational apps and have them set up but they don't help.

I've thought about getting a "life Coach" to help me, give me that push I need to get the good old motor running but seriously have you seen the outrageous price those people charge. Jeez I'm a single mother of 2, a full time college student, holding a part time that barely pays for my rent. I've become extremely introverted and I don't like it.

I wanna go back to working out like I used to. I want to have some sort of productive routine other then just laying around thinking of what id like to do, or Pintresting new ideas and cooping skills for Parents With Adhd.

Im exhausted and I NEED HELP TO REGAIN SOME NORMALCY!!

I get that—I can relate and every day is an challenge or I think I can get stuff done without beating myself up or feeling insane because I cannot explain why it takes me

So long to get other things done.

My advise—just breath, hug your kids, instead of doing a big work out just stretch—baby steps —don’t beat yourself up—just work on the today and baby steps—hope this

Makes sense and helps :)

A LIfe Coach is good only if they understand ADHD/ADD symptoms and management. Typcial motivation and goal-setting doesn't work for us. I know - I paid $6000 to a business coach - and could NOT follow the program like my peers despite constantly trying. In fact, it was this experience that made me realize something else was wrong because I had "will power" and "motivation" down but my results were never consistent.

I’m trying to find help and haven’t yet tryed to find a coach. Is there even one who specializes in ADHD in my town. I imagine I couldn’t afford it if there was. So this really sucks. I’ve read that having a friend or mentor in your life can be helpful, someone who can help you stay on track and help you when your stuck. I think it might help me if I had someone know how to help me and show me. In a perfect world, right. Anyway, I read and want to try it where you have someone who you check in and check out with ever day. A.M. today’s plan discuss then at P.M. you talk with them again and discuss what you did. Did you do what you planned to or not and then move on what am I going to do next , tomorrow make a plan of action and etc. if you want we could try this together if that is something you be interested in. Two ADHD Er’s, I could see us doing many trial and errors but it could hurt to try

This post is old but hopefully you will get a notification that I responded to it; I love the idea and think it would help with accountability; something that we struggle with!
