Is there a virtual support group out there for parents of very young children with ADHD?

We have a 5yo with severe symptoms and could use support from other parents. Thanks for any suggestions.

I’ll DM you. We have a virtual support community called Finding Focus that meets on Clubhouse and Zoom a few times a week. We are on IG at findingfocus_adhd and FB at Finding Focus: ADHD Families

We hope you’ll join us!

Hi, I would love to join this group! My son is 5 and was just diagnosed with ADHD. He is starting Kindergarten in a public school and we are very nervous and would love support. Thanks!

Love to have you! It's hosted by parents and caregivers of ADHD children. I have 3 elementary aged boys and 2 of them were diagnosed with ADHD in the last year. I put the group together a few months ago and its become a wonderful virtual community. Feel free to just listen or share.... for more info, check us out on Instagram at finding focus_adhd or on FaceBook at Finding Focus: ADHD Families. Those are the best places to find updated info. Please join and feel free to share!

I would love to join this as well. My son has taken a turn for the worse and really could use all the support possible. Do I just join the Instagram page?

Hello! I’m sorry to hear that your son has taken a turn for the worse. Parenting a child with ADHD can be a rollercoaster ride. We would love to have you join our virtual support community. For more info, follow our IG page at findingfocus_adhd or on FB at Finding Focus: ADHD Families

We post info on when and how we are meeting virtually. We try to organize events 2x per week and do our best to try accommodate busy schedules.

Glad you’re following us! I also try to post on chadd but best way to stay up to date is IG or FB! We welcome any thoughts on topics to discuss, questions etc...we always spend half the time in open Q & A for people to share stories, struggles and successes.

Is there an email list or anything that doesn’t rely on Facebook or ig? I’m not on any social media, but I’m also looking for a parent support group.

Hi there! Thanks for your interest. We don't have an email list yet but will consider creating one in the future. We keep people updated on our virtual parent/caregiver support group (called Finding Focus) on Facebook, Instagram and also here on the CHADD blog. So keep an eye out here on CHADD for updates and event days/time. Our next one is tomorrow!
