One of my worst fears

Today I overheard 2 parents talking despicable things about my son... One said I'm so tired of the D*** kid that can stay still in class, hands to himself or stay in class. I knew they were referring to him. Unfortunately Sebastian is having such a hard time staying in class. I did gave them that look like really 2 adults critizing a kid...my kid. I totally understand that they don't like the fact that my son disrupts class and can keep hands to himself... it broke my heart and I decided not to confront them because the teacher was absent and I just didn't think it was the time to say hey...listen my son has a condition and sorry is he is behavior is bothering you but we are definitely working on it.

After she seem me walking with him ..they tried to lower their voice but it was to late.

Now, I need an advice of what to do. I had learned not to approach people when they feel angry or frustrate and she seem mad.

Should I talk to the teacher and maybe she can help me to talk to them and just explain that if they have any concerns to come to me or her. Please will judge without knowing the facts...

What should I do? Talk or just let them be.

It's bad enough other kids may be cruel to our kids, but when the adults start that crap I want to go ghetto on em. It pisses me off so bad, they have NO idea what you r dealing with b/c they don't have 'One'...that's what one of my daughters pre-school teachers and I decided to think about them. She has 'one' of them too and had great insight. Mine is 11, and I finally gave one of those soulless parents a talking to last month. Their crap ass kid would hide, no shit, hide from my daughter when we would see them out in public. My daughter was like "hi Byndee"... After several incidents, I finally asked the dad why her daughter was hiding? I asked if my daughter 'did' something to her...she didn't. I Said "I think it's cruel and rude that your child can't exchange common courtesies" . Man, did I feel empowered!

Sorry, I guess the point of my story is, talking to them won't solve anything. They will never understand what you are going through. It is not on you to change thier perspections...you can't. Accept, hug your son and move on.

The best thing you can do is learn about you what's going on in your sons brain and what can be done to help him, period. Why is he leaving class. Are there too many distractions. We didn't do meds until she was 10.. I really regret not doing sooner. Not pushing it on you, just may be worth a Google search. Good luck, sorry you are going through this.

He is not on meds yet... The school evaluation takes about 60 days to be done...still waiting.

He told me that he gets out not because he doesnt like the teacher or classmates its becuase he said "mommy I already know my alphabet, numbers and my comprehension words" so i want to play :(. He doesnt understand that is a safety issue and that he should remain sitting.

Thank you for your kind words...

You are amazing :)

I wonder if your little boy is gifted? Mine is said/ did the same thing at his age. They can test him for gifted as well. Good luck!

Definitely talk to the teachers, not the other parents. Ask the school for direction. It will only get worse if you confront or even just try to talk to other parents. The school will help you and your child.

Hi, I did already. Principal was awesome about it. She will talked to his teacher and hopefully we can have a parent workshop regarding this conditions. Thank you for the advice.
