Feeling like it's falling apart...

Hello! I'm a mother of 2 boys and my oldest was just diagnosed with ADHD-combined type. We knew once he started having troubles in Pre-K that ADHD was a possibility, but we couldn't have imagined the troubles we've had in such a short time. I made his kindergarten teacher aware that we needed her to document his behavior from the meet and greet before school started. She seemed understanding and met with me the second week of school to discuss my son's behavior. However, my son was coming home many days saying he was being pushed and hit by another students and some days the children said they weren't his friend. I found out that his teacher is telling the students to 'ignore his disruptive behavior', but at 5 years old they do not understand the concept and are telling him they're ignoring him and not being his friend because he does bad things. My son becomes emotionally triggered by this and becomes aggressive. When I told her that her instructions were misinterpreted and the result was triggering him for outbursts, she didn't want to listen to me. She made it out as though my son is a monster and all support flew out the window. We started him on Focalin last week once their Thanksgiving break started and I've seen a huge improvement when it comes to aggression, but I still feel like he's going to struggle with friendships because the damage seems done. Sorry for the long post, I just need to get it off my chest.
