Does anyone have e experience stopping hydroxycholoquine/plaquenil? I’ve on it 7 years, suddenly experience hair loss. Wondering if stopping helps.

Have you been ill with a high temperature in the last three months, whether Covid-19 or some other form of fever? Apparently hair loss after such a fever is completely normal, it's called telogen effluvium, and can make you hair go really, really thin, as I discovered to my cost! However, it is temporary, and what I found is that my hair stopped falling out after about six weeks, but it also stopped growing. Then it suddenly caught up with itself and is now back to normal!

Ask your doctor if you could have your iron stores checked, different from the anaemia ones, also folic acid, my hair improved since I started on these supplements, but get your blood checked first

Good luck

How much folic acid do you take? I take 400 mg a day that's in the multivitamin
