If that is what you have been prescribed, yes. If not, better check with your doctor and/or pharmacist.

I think you should definitely check with a pharmacist. My cardiologist told me I must not take aspirin once I started on apixaban

You most definitely need to get advice. Seems to be a high dose of Asprin to be taken along with Apixaban. You could try emailing the manufacturer of Apixaban and put the question to them. I did this with the manufacturer of Sotalol a few years ago when the 40mg tablets were in short supply and my GP had prescribed 80mg, telling me to "cut" them in half. The Sotalol manufacturer responded immediately informing me that I must not cut a tablet in half because, due to the manner of manufacture, they could not guarantee the same dosage strength in "halves". So, GP's do not know "everything". It's in their title "General". However, when I have queried whether or not medications are OK to be taken together, my Pharmacist advised me that when they are prescribing they use a computer based system which flags up problems with mixing drugs. So, you could try asking your Pharmacist to check for you.

I believe person is on Apixaban not Elequis. Different mg. But no aspirin or ibuprofen should be taken on blood thinners, just paracetamol.

Hello. I believed apixaban and eliquis are one and the same? I was told to not take aspirin with my apixaban. They do work differently but definitely worth a bit of research. I am new to this site so I hope I am replying to the right person.

Yes, they are. Sorry was confusing Xaralto (rivaroxaban) with Elequis (apixaban) both are anticoagulants. My husband has been on both and mg are different. Aspirin should not be taken if on either of these drugs.
