warfarin v Rivaroxaban

as anyone changed from warfarin to other blood thinner .if so what was the comparison

My father used natural methods and got off of the poison years ago and is doing phenomenal today.

hes been taking warfarin for 2 years since being diagnosed with AF but since starting it hes suffered badly with painful feet (sometimes unable to put foot to floor) and painful purple toes,dont know if its due to the warfarin or just a coincidence ,it started about 4 weeks after starting warfarin.

i bet it is from the med! It will take a while to detox it out but will save him. Organic raw fruit is key

I moved from Warfarin to Rivaroxaban a few years ago and my experience has been completely positive. A blood test once a year rather than every around every three weeks. I can now eat and drink almost anything I want, as the restrictions for Rivaroxaban are very small. If I have a minor cut, there appears to be no difference between the two drugs in the time taken to stop bleeding. I have had no adverse reaction to Rivaroxaban.

I asked my GP and his reply was the difference was about £63 a month!

One solution for one person doesn't mean it will react the same for another,all bodies are different.I don't blame people for trying different drugs,''none would be better'',but that in most cases doesn't work.

I changed from Warfarin to Rivaroxaban about 3 years ago. Even though I self tested I found it frustrating not knowing why my INR was sometimes way out of range. I really like that I don't have to worry about what I eat or drink . no regular blood tests is obviously a plus . No side effects at all ! I would recommend changing to anyone !

Here in Spain for now only sintrom is available thru free health system (this is pretty much equivalent to warfarin) ... I'd have to pay to change ... but personally don't have any problems with it as live very close to the health centre where go for the checks on INR. As the INR varies quite a lot for no obvious reasons I quite like having a check on it!

I changed from warfarin to rivaroxaban a few years ago, but it did not agree with me at all and I switched back to warfarin. However, everyone is different and some people get on better with rivaroxaban.
