Endoscopy and NOAC’s

I am having an endoscopy on Friday. I am taking Dabigatran. I have tried to phone the hospital several times to find out when I should stop taking it, but I can’t get anyone to pick up the phone.

Some websites only refer to Warfarin, others suggest 48 - 72 hours. Help!

I would phone your GP or clinic who looks after your anticoagulant, or the department who are doing your endoscopy, or the consultant secretary

One of these should answer the phone good luck

I would contact a nurse at your GP's office or even ask a Pharmacist.... I'm on Warfarin and know that I would have to be bridged off if I were having an Endoscopy procedure... I would assume the same for Dabigatran?? Not sure of that one though. Best wishes---hoping all goes well on Friday, prayers!
