Good news!

Went to the Outpatients' Clinic this morning, and was delighted to be told that, as all is well, I don't need to go back for six months (unless I start to have symptoms again - he stressed they were there for me if I needed them). I do have to stay on Xarelto, though, but I don't mind that, and Boots seem to have my repeat prescriptions in hand.... so I walked out with the biggest smile on my face!

Glad to hear it all went well. I am due to go to outpatients next month for a catch up on things.

Terrific news ! I too had the all clear and was taken off Apixiban. PLEASE don't do what I did next. Stupidly I set off at a furious pace overdoing work thinking I was the old me. Well two months later I started breathing issues and fatigue . Anxiety due to workload etc etc. This is a long slow recovery and needs lifestyle change. I'm now back on Apixiban and starting to recover. I've taken the lesson on board. Good luck and keep recovering 😃

Thanks! Fortunately I'm retired, so work isn't an issue, although we travel a lot and I do have to pace myself! Going to pulmonary rehabilitation clinic on Friday to see what they have to offer.

Thanks for highlighting the pulmonary rehab clinic. I had not come across such a thing before. I have just googled and can see that there are some in my region. I will find out if I can join . Once again this forum proves to be a source of invaluable info !
