If your inr is to highthe warfarin is working too well.if you have lost 70lbs your body mass is reduced you will need less warfarin.also as you get older you will be less active and your metabolisim will slow down .so needing a lower dose

I have been on warfarin for 43 years my weight has been constant.73kilo.but now i am 70 years old i am less active.so my dose has reduced from 6mg to 2.5mg with an inr range of 3 to 4.5 and a target of 3.5

I have taken warfarin for about 30 years now and it was only after my 3rd heart ablation that my INR became relatively stable. There are many reasons why one's INR can become unstable or change unusually. If you are worried I would ask your hospital haematologist or anticoagulation nurse if they could help explain the blood situation. Take care. Annel

then in your case i wood book this person in to the nears hospital for is is part of the 19% of the population hows hormones are effected by Anticoagulant Drugs , this is very dangerous. have his doctor check his hormone level , asap.

Yes I haven't made any lifestyle changes and I had to change to xarelto because my INR stopped stabilizing normally after 6 years of being fine on the warfarin. Wishing you all the best!
