I have dvt and pe and no inferior vena cava I'm waiting for surgery my inr should be between 2/3 but for two weeks it was 1.8 this week went down to 1.6 three days I've had a chronic headache I'm short breathed and my foot really hurts was in hospital for 4 weeks don't no wat todo do I ring the hospital?

Yes, definitely ring the hospital! Or even go straight to A&E if you're that worried - I can't tell from here whether it is necessary. But definitely ring the haematology department.

Hiya thanks for your imput I've got dr coming out tomorrow as they were totally busy and I need home visits as I'm bed bound for the time being thanks again

How is it that you don't have an inferior vena cava? It is a very important vein? I do hope you get your INR is sorted out soon. Is the hospital anticoagulation clinic looking after you and keeping an eye on it? please let us know how you get on. Anne x

I have a rare condition apparently I've been servivingOn spider veins from birth professor Steven black from st thomases hospital has said he's only seen this a handful of times the Drs say thier surprised that nothing's happened to me before that's why it's such a complex case theirs not many things they can do but want to try something for me but could carry complications war ever they do I'm no dr but to me sounds scary and I don't mind admitting I'm scared I was active 41 year old and always worked in road construction now I'm resigned to bed not walking standing its worrying I will let this site no how it goes thx for your input

I would ask someone to take you to A&E or call an ambulance, you could always phone 111 for advice I wouldn't wait for a doctor to visit

I may just do that not slept now for third night in a row don't no if it's worry ov my situation or the pain or the stress of my situation but I no its getting me down thx for your input mate appreciated
