Unprovoked PE

I was 46 when I was hospitalized for my PE. I had so many clots in both lungs that they could not determine the number. Dr. death number one told me that one. I had to receive a clot busting agent or I was going to die. That was Dr. death number 2. I was very scared and confused about the cause that no one could tell me.

I am now on Warfarin and will be for the rest of my life. My hematology dr. seemed to think that was the best course of action because there was no reason for my PE.

Weird medical things seem to follow me. I had Gillian Barre Syndrome when I was 22. I have Fibromyalgia and now this blood clot issue.

Has anyone have an answer to my strange body? Is there a link?

By the way what is factor 5 Leiden?
