Please can someone help don’t know if posted on correct page, bought apple iwatch setting it up last night, went for 9 min walk to test out, everything went well, very happy, took watch off left downstairs went to bed, within 4 mins of getting into bed laying on left side my whole body moved in between a jerk and a twitch it really worried me,in my mind I connected it to the fact that I had worn this watch, so I googled as was concerned and found other people saying arm wrist shoulder twitching etc, but mine was whole body, are these watches safe? I will add I am on prenisolone

Hi! Sorry to see you are worried, but I don't think you need be!
What you are describing sounds a lot like a 'hypnic jerk', which is very common and usually not a sign of any disorder - actually I have it myself from time to time and I am healthy. It is an unpleasant sensation, though!!

I looked up the issue with the Apple watch, and it is only a problem with the wrist and arm as far as I could see. It looks as though the likely cause is wearing the watch too tight and/or too close to the wrist joint. Try wearing it a bit higher up your arm.
Prednisolone does not appear to cause effects like those you describe, but please consult your doctor about any concerns!!
Enjoy your lovely new watch xxx
