Hi

I've been on this site for over a year .

I started having lots of dentistry which lead to anxiety after so dentistry I started to have burning sensations on right side of my mouth .(top and bottom )

Dentist could not find any reason for this and put it down to neuropathic issue .

GP gave me amitriptyline , this helps a little .

The sensations come and go .

can gang around for a few weeks or more go for a few weeks and suddenly returned .

It has been a real struggle over the last year adjusting ,rising above and try ing to carry on with my life.

I have mentioned my situation in the past and wondered if there was any one that has experienced similar .A few people have contacted me in the past but their issues went away.

I would like to hear from any one that is suffering and any one dealing with daily pain / burning /discomfort of another issue and how you cope with your daily life .

I think I would just like support from any one so I don't feel alone ,although deep down I know I'm not .

Bad days you think your alone .

I've come a long way in rising above anxiety most of the time .A year ago I was in a bad sad place .

I really don't want to go back there .

I need to be strong andcexcept I have some sort of condition that might be here all my life .

I had what I thought was an abscessed molar. Had a root canal, then a filling in the next molar over, still agonizing. Finally went to a different dentist, who sad nothing was wrong with my teeth. Referred me to an ENT doctor, turned out I have a rather large salivary stone that abscesses from time to time. The surgery is pretty gruesome, leaving a big scar on the neck, so for now try to control it with courses of antibiotics when too painful. Hopefully someone else will have a good answer for you, just my experience. Think the first dentist was just greedy and did unnecessary work.

Hi

Thank you for your message .

Feel sorry for all your pain and stress , sounds terrible .

I know a little of what your going through after episode that started about 14 months ago ..

My anxiety eventually stopped although have odd moments which are very short lived .

My teeth sensations have become less frequent and not so bad , have my moments but nothing was ever really found .

Possible neuropathic issues combined with stress and anxiety but over the months had become easier and often forget about it and carry on with life .14 months ago I never thought I would have any form of normality again .

How are you coping now ?

Xx

Still sucking in air. With my issues would vanish in a puff of lavender scented smoke, wish everyone's would. Glad things are a bit better for you.
