if I was you I would express how I feel after all they say honesty is best .. Maybe explain to ur peers in a joke or ask them to help u which might make them more interested as all them against lil old you . Try be confident . Thats the key .. Even if its just a show u can fo it ! Then reward yourself afterwards !!:)

Hi. Why are they doing that?! I have had to give a speech a few times. I thought I would bottle it. In the end I did not and it went fine. Have you talked to the teacher about how you feel?

The trick is to plan. Are you taking the whole lesson or just a small part of it? What aspect of PE are you teaching?

I am taking the whole lesson, I am teaching football.

In that case, you break it down into chunks.

You allow time for everyone to get dressed and for the register to be taken (7 mins).

You also allow 10 minutes for students to get showered and dressed at the end of the lesson.

You need everyone to warm up (5-7minutes depending on whether indoor or outdoor). Should involve getting the heart pumping and the muscles limber.

That's already half of the lesson. If you know your class mates already, you could decide in advance who would be good for each position. If you are teaching them the rules of football-as in they've never played before- you'll want to keep it as simple as possible.

You might want to leave 5 minutes before you send everyone off to get ready to review what everyone has learned.

At the beginning of the lesson you could ask everyone to break into three groups; those who know something about football, those who know the very basics, and those who are confident. You could always use this at the end of the lesson to see if people move groups.

Does this help? I used to be a teacher.

I used to be an Instructor in Youth Clubs, and I tried to divert away from my fears. You know something others do not know, so you are one step above them. Remember to look at the group and imagine they are wearing red noses of a clown. You are better than them you know that secret.

If they are sitting you will need to stand, this gives you the benefit of looking down on the group your height is your advantage, you look down on them, they look up to you too learn
