I have been put on respiridone due to not being able to switch off. My brain is in overdrive all the time. My self esteem is rock bottom. I don't want to go out. I don't want to see anyone. I feel ugly. No self worth. I can't concentrate. My memory is so poor. I have chronic pain which is widespread and deep depression but this is different due to my brain in constant overdrive just overthinking all the time. I'm either super excited or really really low. HELP. Do I have bipolar????

Do I have bipolar
First port of call is to go your doc and ask for a referral for a psychiatrist. We cannot diagnose you here. You are displaying symptoms of various conditions.
I agree this sounds a complex one and I'm not sure how people on this forum will be able to help other than suggesting you are seen by a mental health person, which you presumably already are to get the respiridone.
Antidepressants and psychological treatments with major tranquillisers like respiridone are the usual way forward, but yes it must be horrid for you and the treatments all have their side effects.
There is a great need for a magic wand for many of us.
In the meantime soldiering on and getting the best help available.
As for diagnosing bipolar, that is very much for a psychiatrist to say dependant on a full history and not a diagnosis used lightly.
I was in the same situation, heavily depressed, insomnia, lost hope. I made an appointment with a psychiatrist and he referred me to get psychological testing before getting a full diagnosis. The results revealed something different from original diagnosis. He prescribed the right medication and a fabulous therapist. If I had not contacted the psychiatrist I would still be miserable. For the first time I feel better and looking forward to the future. Best to make an appointment with a psychiatrist first. It could save your life. Good luck 😉
