I've been on Sertraline for just over two weeks and I've been feeling pretty calm and neutral if that makes sense but last night my old feelings of getting upset for no reason came back.. I couldn't cry though even though I felt as if I was close to tears but I have read that not being able to cry is a side effect of the tablets..
Has anyone else experienced this? Do tablets just stop working like this..? D:

Sertraline dried up my tears I was exhausted of crying so it was a huge welcome for me but after 2 weeks I wanted to. I upped my dose which my GP said I could as she said you can get carried away in the "honeymoon period" of the tablets. After a couple of weeks in balances out your serotonin in your brain so sometimes you need to up it. I would speak to your GP if you feel you might need to increase them but apparently it's common.

Hi you need to give them time to work and get properly into your system. This can take at least 4 weeks. So persevere with them. Your doctor should have told you all this and also pointed out that you can feel worse for a time until they kick in. x
