Do you know why you are feeling the way you are, there must be something deep down that is causing your fears and depression. Knowing your problems will help you move on and address what is really concerning you.

One Diazapam old or new will not really help that feeling of fear and if you cannot put things in perspective you will most probably need to talk out what is bothering you. There are many here that can talk and give you support although if you feel that something stronger is required our GP is awaiting your call to discuss different ways forward with some talking therapies possibly.

Hi Bob I'm trying to find your last reply to me so I can answer you, but can't find it ?? Do you nowere it is for me to find please ??

Hello Sandra

At this time talking therapies are being cut and sometimes it has been known that six sessions are all you are allowed at one time. You will then be possibly put back on the waiting list at the bottom of the pile. I do not know how many sessions you have had, although it would seem that your CPN as done a positive thing and put you on a two week review and chat.

Are you taking medications or has the GP discussed them and has decided to leave you off them at this time. ?? Sometimes if the Patient is in their teens they sometimes decide to try a period of support before they prescribe. This is because of withdrawal problems and some very strong contraindications. Not giving you medications at this time is a positive action as they would prefer to find the cause and treat it without medications. I personally feel that medications should only be given to treat a crisis as they can take an extended period before they begin to work.

Personally I would always advise that you always take your GPs advice.

How can we help

Thank you for replying so quickly and your support I really do appreacite it, yes I'm on 200mg of sertraline ( max strength) and has recently gave me beta blockers propranolol ( not sure if they do anything for me ) I felt so very bad on Friday I felt suicidal ( although I wouldn't do it ) the feelings take over and there it's so very very hard to come back from it, Iv never had Anxitey as bad as this ( since january) Iv always had anti dpress for depression ( since 17 years old ) but to have a breck down and be left with the worst anxiety and depression ever, my counsillor said Iv got past dramtaic stress disorder now, because it the problems above, six sessions would be fantastic and I'd be so very grateful I'm that desparte Bob for any help at all, I'm going to me GP on Wednesday as I'm really not good. Thank you so very much for being there I'm so very grateful

Hi, One tablet would not make any difference, am sorry but it just couldn't and that just goes to prove the power of the mind x

I would agree with you over the power of our minds, but fortunately diazepam is a wonderful tranquilizer that one tiny tablet can just calm someone down that fraction to quiet the mind and rest. Sadly it can be highly addictive so a drug to be used on those rare occasions when you only take one and it does the trick x

Sandraan profile image
Sandraan in reply to ladeda

Yes that's. Exactly what I was trying to explain its not an all time fix, it was just a wonderful realse from my heightened Anxitey feelings, thanks for understanding, hope your ok x

Anxiety and fear can be so bad sometimes because you are fighting it so much rather then letting it in and accepting it. I am not sure if I can explain this right, but sometimes it is allowing painful experiences in so that we can let them go and move on.

We love our pets but they don't usually live long enough, so you have to give yourself permission for them to break your heart, it doesn't make the grieving any easier, but by letting yourself be hurt you can move forward and eventually even get another pet knowing it's likely you will end up with more unbearable pain when there gone, but it will be worth it.

I was very upset Friday because I put my hand through my hair and it all fell out, oh how I cried, by the morning I accepted the inevitable and was able to move on, now I am quite excited to go by myself a lovely wig and when my hair eventually grows it will probably grow back stronger and better 😊

Your in a bad place now and you have issues that need help for you to work through, and you will get through, not by burying them, but by learning those coping skills and allowing yourself to be hurt sometimes, so you can help yourself move forward. You are never alone hun, so take what works for you, and there will always be something else to try when something doesn't work. Xx

Hi Sandraan, it has just been a horrible day, i didnt even get dressed and havn't seen anyone today. I wont' take meds because long term use can do more damage to an already vulnerable brain, doctors dish them out like sweets its awful x

SueSuesad profile image
SueSuesad in reply to skcim

Hi how are you ! U mentioned meds doing more harm than good, this too worries me, for every action there is a reaction , I'm frightened ,cos it feels I'm just getting deeper into despair, an if I say to my docs, at mental health hospital, they just rank up the dose, then change to another an another , I actually wonder if I'm harming my already fragile brain, and wonder if the outcome would b better ,not to med ? Would the brain eventually right itself ? I'm feeling physically an mentaly poorly , and lost ,x

Hi thanx for your reply re meds, the withdrawals are quite horrid I understand, but can't help wondering if they making me worse ,is this possible do u think x

skcim profile image
skcim in reply to SueSuesad

Yes i do think it is possible, but please i am not trying to get you off them..... that is for you to decide, I took meds many years ago and came off them abruptly, and i shouldn't of done that ( not a good idea ) you would have to wean yourself off them day by day, and if i remember it makes you feel awful at first...... so what does that tell you about meds and the powerful effect on the brain..... it tells me i don't want to go there. I am trying to help myself everyday with my depression but it isn't easy and doesn't go away overnight, but i do think certain things help.... like certain foods, meditation, breathing exercises and exercise and fresh ai,r and just finding one or two people you trust to confide in. x

Just research antidepressants and you will see what harm they can do, Doctors just hand out medication for everything,, it's their job, you go to see your GP and tell him your meds don't work and he ups the dose. Watching John Bergman vids on youtube may sway you, this bloke is amazing and covers every illness going, and how to have a healthy body without drugs, he also talks about depression. Hope this helps.
