Just kinda here

Hi all, was looking for some info on having no energy and being tired all the time and ran across this community. I was not expecting to find so many like me, nice to know I'm not alone. My name is Teresa, like many I've read, I have no energy, want to sleep all the time, no motivation, don't know quite what to say, most of the time feel like I'm just kinda here. Anyway, I'll quit rambling, just wanted to introduce myself and say hi.

Hi Teresa nice to meet you and welcome to the site. Do you think you are depressed? Have you been diagnosed with depression? Have you seen a doctor yet? Are you on any meds or doing any counselling? So many questions - sorry. It does sound like you do have depression as tiredness and wanting to sleep all the time are generally components of it. How can we help you?

This is a great site with so many lovely caring people who will do our best to help and support you and each other. Do you feel able to tell us more about yourself?

Hi Bev, thanks so much for the reply, not used to anyone really noticing. Yes, I have been diagnosed with severe depression. Seems it's been this way forever, though I know it hasn't. I am on meds, but they don't seem to do too much. Right now I'm on Prozac, seems I've run through the whole lot of them. Nothing seems to help much or for too long. My PC did have me see someone,but, I don't think she was for me. I seem to have lost faith in them when her idea of helping me was to say I would feel better maybe if I hung some new curtains in the house, when I was trying to deal with losing my mom, then a year later my brother,just haven't been the same since, and didn't feel as if she had a clue. Anyway, I won't continue to jabber on, just want to thank you for your response and caring. Hope all is well with you.

Hi Teresa, this is a nice group and I have found lots of help and advice, as well as simple understanding. So many people don't seem to realise how hard it can be to live with illness that isn't visible. Keep trying to get help but keep in touch here. Regards Lorna..

Thank you all so very much. I know that you understand, it's comforting to know that there's people out there who do know what its like and can relate. Hard to try to get someone to understand if they've never been there. Anyway, thank you again for your kind responses.
