Back on the old keyboard

It has been one hell of a week had more appointments and meetings that have really taxed me I suppose all will sort out mid next week as I have further things to do and I will be back to some form of normality.

Now I always feel meetings should be that much better with nice, expensive chocolate biscuits that just hit the mark when you begin to flag.

When Tuesday comes about a further two meetings will rear their heads and after that we are looking forward to get away from the bump and grind for a week in the hills of the Scottish Borders.

All of us look upon our lives as complicated and things we enjoy can become a trail that seems to send us down the road of depression and a state of exhaustion, If we are doing the right thing , even when the work is voluntary we can try and fight those negative feelings that come and invade all positive ideas.

Today I awoke and realized that I would miss the chat and activity of like minded folks and that helps me forget those things that are onerous to me. especially when about a week ago I was talking with legal Eagles who are dealing with our property that has been effected by a quango who seems to have more power than the State that it is supposed to work under.

Hazel had to call in at our old home and could not understand how much she has moved on from when we moved so now we both need to move on and enjoy our new life. She did not want too visit our old place and when I picked her up she was grateful that she had seen the old pile and understands where now she is travelling to. Out of restricted skies into the perfect light.

Whatever we do we all have to move on and our feelings push us along in a manic waltz that forces us to change our ways in a bloody awful world. To understand that I suppose helps us try and attack this condition called Depression, sometimes we fail when our brain just cannot take any more and we become possibly resentful and needful. Hence the reason we try and do something that will calm and relax us.

So yes, some volunteering helps us, sometimes to move us on, even when that can cause us to balk at the interesting things we can do in the Voluntary Sector. Or something we really want to do. We are lucky when something comes along that we really want to do

All the best in and out of mood changes

  • What a busy post Bob. There's clearly a lot going through your mind today. I always feel so strange when I see my old house, I understand how that feels.

    Take care

  • When I visited London in January I visited my old flat. I was horrified and sad as it looked very run down and neglected. Also 2 of the 3 pubs at the back were gone which was even worse x

  • Hello cough

We are now in the country and we have big skies all was just dark and depressed and cluttered.

We have basically now realized we will never return and so we will sell ASAP when the time dictates. All sadness I suppose as it was a family home and we felt the area had really taken a dive

  • The country? Good gracious Bob how do you cope with that? :d xxx

  • Hello cough

God only knows, Really it is how do we all cope ??, we all have our trails and tribulations I suppose it is if something positive comes along we hope we can run with a positive mood and capitalize with the good things. Sad to say life is so negative at the moment it takes some one to push me in the right direction. Sometimes that shove can be painful and sad to say we snap back, hence the depression

    All the best

  • Hi Bob, I love your name, I just can keep my head still when I say it!!

I hope your meeting goes well on Tuesday and you can soon get back to those lovely scottish hills to restore your energies. Sounds like you have major things on your plate to contend with, and sometimes no matter how we try to cope it just all gets too much at times, we can't make ourselves think positively even if we know it helps, sometimes you just have to sit it out, but remember you have been there before, and sit it out you can xx.

when things are down the only way is up.

    hugs to you xxx

  • Hello monib

Thanks monib, we always feel confused and depressed, some more than others, although all we can do is support each other when things go egg shaped

    All the best
