How I am this week

I am okay this week, i have been resting and have not drank alchol, I have changed from coffee to tea, I hope the other communitie members are okay, I have been watching the tories on bbc news, I don't like the way they demonise less well off people, they use words like estates and drugs and gangs aggressively, I like that the tories are well off. I like David Cameron as well.

Glad that you have managed to cut out the alcohol.

I'm afraid I seem to have switched from tea to coffee ... still drink a lot of tea but at home I like to indulge in sweet coffee with lots of cream - which is odd because I never really liked coffee very much but guess the taste buds have changed - never used to like olives but now I get the occasional hankering after them.

I don't pay any attention to the part conferences I'm afraid - just seems like a load of posturing and jockeying for position and I am definitely very cynical about politics and politicians. I think it was NightWaves on Monday where they were talking about politicians - someone has just published a book about Victorian politicians - and they were looking at a number that the author felt were models of what we need in politics today - someone who is really out to serve people rather than serve themselves. Personally I think it's going to be a little bit more complicated than that - power corrupts ... and I really think that most politicians do think they are doing things to benefit of others ... oh what tangled webs we weave, when first we practice to deceive ourselves ...

Glad to hear that you are having a good week and well done for cutting out the alcohol. My husband drinks decaf coffee which he reckons is no different from ordinary coffee but the decaf tea is pretty awful. I can't comment on your politics as I am not in the UK but it's pretty much the same here I think. Keep on keeping well, Julie xx
