Sounds pretty bad and you have had a bad experience there. Seems your mental health systme sraen't all they could be. Sorry I can't be of more help.

The powers that be could put a stop to all these cases of neglect of duty of care both in the health service and the social services. Oh sorry, maybe the correct title now is Health and social care, but this is part of the problem you see, too much attention given to the wrong things like what do we call ourselves now? If change doesn't improve anything then scrap it. Lets get back to basics here: care, compassion and good old fashioned unconditional love and responsibility for maintaining human dignity. There is no place for fancy executive management styles in a profession that is rooted in a vocational calling. More enquiries are needed into people who are doing the wrong job for the wrong reasons. The big problem here is that not many people are brave enough to speak.

My opinion is there has been a breakdown of communication, speaking from experience people are institutionalised, it doesn't help anyone but its a comfort in itself that this dysfunctional community is there, the competence of staff all across the board is abysmal, these people are not taking responsibility for anything, they are useless, it is a arrangement of convenience.

A break down of communication means that no one is listening. successive Governments and local councils must take the blame for these abominations, these, so called dysfunctional communities, because they have never listened and they still are n't listening.
