MISUNDERSTOOD

I'm trying to see if I can post on here. I've been restricted on AOD for a post I wrote as a joke. It was completely misunderstood, so I'm not happy. Pam

We'll never mind, your true to yourself and I admire you for that. Looks like youl have to hang around this forum then for a bit!!! But I think we need to come up with something more jolly for the background. A nice sunny beach or something like that!!!

Actually. I was thinking it might be nice to write on this forum for a while. There's a lot more scope. I would like to see this site grow. How do you get the banner changed?

I don't know if I'm honest, somehow you'd have to message the team that run it. If you can't do that directly then ask them via a message on here as they obviously check what's written on the forums.

I left AOD because of the whole politics issue and I have been struggling since because of not having the support that helped me at the start.

I am now afraid to post anything anywhere asking for help because I now see that some people who say they are supportive are only supportive when it suits them or are for their own benefit.

I hope I don't have to leave here as well, because this as the forum says this is an Aciton for Happiness forum and to me that means positive statements and positive suggestions to be shared and I hope this is always the case on here.

I was just going to ask if posting positive experiences would be ok. I think AOD has become so restrictive that all the posts sound like they have come from the same person. When you're that limited you really don't need many people, no one wants to repeat what's already been said. So the site has changed, it no longer has that comforting feeling and people just come and go. Also complaining about it will only get you shut down. You are not the only one who is afraid. Pam

I have checked a lot of forums that are a available and one thing I found was that on a lot of them people would say I feel down because of I have this problem and on most people would just say me too, but then wouldn't say anything about what they'd tried or give any suggestions to help.

I joined the AOD on here because it was one of the few where people were willing to say here's what I tried or I haven't had that, but have you tried this. Or just be there to say we understand and are here for you.

The suggestions of alternatives to medication where good, because you could use them along with your medication and to me finding alternatives to medication is what I need. I don't want to be on medication for years if I can help it. but changing life styles or finding alternatives takes time.

I joined Action for happiness for the positivity and also because if you are happy then that can help you be healthy and help with a lot of conditions that we suffer from in the modern society.

I find that when I have a positive outlook that it helps me and helps those around me.

So for me hearing about other people's positive experiences is great and can sometimes trigger for me ideas of thing that I could try it introduce into my life as well.

It's like taking time to thank someone for their help when you are out, you make that persons day and you feel good as well. :-D

Hi,

I left because I felt some topics of discussion and some responses were not helpful to anyone trying to find ways to help their issues. The attack on the admin volunteers was the last straw for me.

Anyway this one is all about Action for Happiness, so that shouldn't happen here. :-D
