Pain behind ear

Hello everyone, I had my surgery coming up to a year ago. The last two days I have been having a sharp pain constantly behind my ear where they removed the bone. I had the Translabyrinthine approach. Has anyone else had that?

Hi hope you are doing OK! I had exactly the same operation 7 months ago but no pain. I I just have weird "sensations" for want of a better word. It may be worth a check. Good luck 🤞 xx

Hi.. I had surgery, same procedure as you, last April 2021. I have all sorts of weird brain & head pains & sensations. Shooting pain behind my ear into my neck sometimes, other times a piercing pain through the centre of my head, feels like my brain is going to pop. Hard to describe. I don’t get constant pain but it can be frequent especially if I am tired, or anxious. Food tastes bland.. I’m still quite unsteady some days, it’s no fun being in the AN club but I persevere and am thankful that the tumour has been removed. Maybe contact your MDT team at your hospital?
