Hi

I'm just about to renew my husband's car insurance, do we need to inform insurer he has AN? At the moment he has no symptoms apart from no hearing in right ear... Appreciate any advice

Simple answer "no"! There is no need to inform you insurer if it has no impact on his driving ability. if it does impact on his driving ability then he will probably have to surrender his license anyway. In my experience this rarely happens.

I haven't had any problem with car insurance but had a bit of delay getting my driving licence renewed because I ticked the box about brain tumours. All came out ok in the end when I told them surgery was 30 years ago and have them GP' s details, good luck for the future. K

I didn't mention when renewing my car insurance but had noted it when getting holiday insurance - didn't affect the premium though.
