Red legs after clots

Hi there.18 months ago l had a mesenteric venous thrombus and then 3 months ago l had a pulmonary embolism.l am on2mg warfarin a day and seem to be settling at 2.5.Now my legs at the bottom are going red and lumpy,.l have been to the doctor, he has put me on a diuretic for 4 weeks.Has anyone else had this problem and did you cure it. Thanks for any help you can give me and good luck to you all

I have a red leg , my other is normal its the the veins in the leg trying to repair its self the lumps is where the blood is thicker, thats when its best to elevate the leg as the lumps will appear when standing, are you wearing compression stocking these do help

Thank you for your reply. my podiatrist told me it was venous insufficiency,which is a valve in a vein in your leg which is too weak to push the blood back up your leg and so pools at the bottom. walking and putting your feet up when resting is about the best you can do for it
