Abnormal Liver Function Test Result

Hi,

My recent liver function test produced abnormal results.

I am a moderate drinker but have been taking Apixaban for just over twelve months now.

I am having the test repeated in a month.

Do you think that Apixaban could be the cause?

Hi. You mentioned alcohol use, but you gave no clue to your diet and exercise regime, which can also cause liver issues.

Also, have you read the insert that comes with Apixaban? Might be a good idea to have a good read of the side effects it might cause, just in case an abnormal liver is one of them.

I'm on rivaroxaban and have to get my bloods checked every year and a few years back mine came back as abnormal, I was retested and then sent for a scan it came back as gall stones! so don't panic it might be nothing to worry about, good luck

Guess it could be related..if you need the drug for medical reasons it might be worth moderating the drinking instead ?

How long have you been on it? I've just started but still feel nervous though lack of testing X

I have had 2 episodes of pe in 1996 and again in 2009 x
