I actually had this a year ago. I couldn't move my neck, had pain in my neck and head, and numbness with tingling down my left arm and leg. They at first thought it was a pinched nerve until they saw on the MRI that I had a couple bulging disc (c5 and c6 I believe) . They first tried IV steroids which didn't work so I saw a neorosugreon. He did a cervircal fusion. I had immediate relief. Recovery was about 6 weeks with a brace on. While my head and neck still hurt at times from the behcets (occular neuralgia) it is definitely not as had as before. The surgery really helped. Let ne know if you have any questions!

Thank you. Did they feel that Bechets had anything to do with the inflammation or bulging?

I had occipital injections last week and it worked wonders for the pain and not being able to move my neck. I don't have the bulging like you guys. If you have the headaches from the occipital neuralgia I'd recommend trying the injections. I love being able to move my head again:)

Yes they believed it was from the inflammation caused by the behcets and I was also 8 months pregnant. I agree that the triggmer point injections work wonders now for my head and neck pain. I was in the hospital last week due to a behcets flare and I could barely move my neck and had the worst headache. I went to the pain clinic after I got discharged and it's amazing how much better I feel now!

I had injections an it helped with the motion. We will see how long it works. Dr. Took me out of work for 3 weeks - been flanging since before Christmas. I hope the time to relax will help.

Worry about work though.

Hopefully they help! Did the doctor prescribe you any muscle relaxers too? I haven't been able to work in over a year.I pray you have better luck.

Sorry for the delay mstar44, I have flexeral and steroids. I was on a lot of pain meds too. Yes it helped but I am also seeing an Osteopathic manipulation therapist who is an internal med guy. Friend that I have known for years, he is a godsend. He really helps. Anyone in the Detroit Area he is in Shelby Twp. Dr. Patterson. I now have costochondritis (one of many names.) UGH. I have a meeting with my Human Resource dept today. My principal is not understaning at all. Scared. People just do not understand. I am divorcing and really need my job. However, I am a teacher and I cant come in and out of the classroom so often, They need consistency. I feel frustrated and torn. It has been suggested that I go on disability but everyone says that is very difficult. Clearly I need to reduce my stress!:)
