Hello

it really depends on budget, i like Bose but that's my preference, where some people will recommend Sennheiser or Sony these brands are normally in the top five

My advice would be to forget about use of earphones as you’ll only set the sound louder to compete against your T. This can lead to your T levels increasing over time. Get yourself hearing aids with masking sounds fitted at NHS and they set it at a level you’re comfy with and you cannot increase these sounds at source. Keep yourself busy to distract yourself from T noises too.

I think bose are the best but I wouldn't be using them. I used sennheiser headphones for years both at home and with the band and have been told they have also contributed to my T. apart from playing drums and they said "my ears aren't as strong as other peoples" so I don't go anywhere near them now SADLY! and remember cancelling noise will make the T seem louder so youll ramp up the music which in turn will make the T worse!

Hi everyone

Thank you for your posts very great full.

I didn’t ask for tinnitus my son has mild autism and needs to concentrate which means if he can shutout background noise he would do better. I looked around and found the new Sony mx3 10000 to be better than Bose my son agreed he is very very happy with them once again thanks for all your input
