For the past couple of weeks I’ve noticed that when I’m walking the noise in my left ear increases when my left foot touches the ground! Anyone else experience this? My specialist said this is pulsatile tinnitus, but from what I’ve read I don’t think it is.
Any comments?

“My logical brain says believe the doctors, but my t brain won’t!” .
Follow your GP’s advice. I think you said you have had high blood pressure so get it checked out.
A lot of energy is passed through out bone structure when we walk. That energy can be observed by our hearing especially if that ear is blocked. If you have issues with high blood pressure then that may be noticed even more.
Hi thanks for the reply. I stopped taking all my medication as I was scared it was making my t worse. I’m taking my BP meds again, but I’m just so tuned in the noise. Just wish my brain would switch off! It’s as if I’m constantly listening for every little change. I’ve been here several times before so I know that the brain can be rewired to not give the t a second thought, but it’s so frustrating. Thank God when my hearing aids go in the t does quieten a bit.
In some ways it is easier to move on when we have plenty of other more interesting/positive things to get on with.
At least you can build on the fact that you’ve been here before and moved on, in the same way newbies can build on the longer and longer periods they haven’t noticed their T.
