Venous Pulsatile Tinnitus

I have pulsatile tinnitus in my left ear, it disappears temporarily when I move my head in certain directions or do the Valsalva manoeuvre, so likely venous in origin. I also have spells of dizziness and nausea. I have attended my GP and was fobbed off with travel sickness pills. How do I go about getting taken seriously?

I'm sorry that your GP is not taking your needs seriously. I've put the link to our GP Guidance below as well as our information about pulsatile tinnitus which does suggest to the GP that pulsatile tinnitus should be referred to a specialist - perhaps you could take this to your next appointment?

Our helpline can also let you have information about local tinnitus services, which may encourage your GP to refer you.

Warmest wishes
