You came up with some great suggestions to yesterday's questions - thank you! So, what about today's? I'm really looking forward to your answers to this - even when I don't have tinnitus, my sleep is a bit mixed up so hopefully I can learn something!

Warmest wishes

I referred to this in yesterday's question.I use medications very sparingly if possible. I find that a herbal sleep tea together with herbal nytol can be helpfull. I do tend to read and have the to on in the bedroom till I feel myself nodding off. I am not at a point where I can just go to bed and listen to my tinnitus till I go to sleep, but then I have never been a good sleeper anyway.

I sleep with a fan on all year round.. I find the noise of the fan (kind of) cancels out the ringing.

I couldn't sleep without my Sound Oasis - the rain - which breaks up the monotinous hiss of my T and gives my mind something else to focus on. It comes away with me, on batteries!

I think I must be unusual Nic because my tinnitus never prevented me from sleeping.

I think it must be the kind of noises I have - mainly pulsatile. I could never wait to get into bed and go to sleep.

The trouble started in the morning when the anxiety kicked in knowing I had to get through another day with the banging going on in my head.

Like Lynne-H, my tinnitus doesn't stop me from sleeping. However, it's the first thing I'm aware of whenever I wake up and sometimes it's really loud. Sometimes relaxing techniques work, sometimes not.
