WAX SOFTENING

After a recent ear wax suctioning session - before being fitted for NHS hearing aids with masker next week - the audiologist recommended Earol, which administers one puff of oil into the ear canal to soften any wax and lubricates the canal. I am totally claustrophobic if my ears are bunged up by drops - but this seems a much better, measured, device.

Just thought I'd pass the info on. Good luck everyone.

Thanks for that. I`ve heard it`s good stuff. Know someone else who uses Earol. Lynne xx

I've been using it, but it is just olive oil in a fancy bottle.

The medical professionals all seem dead against Otex / hydrogen peroxide etc. That stuff is specifically designed / sold as a potion to break up & disperse earwax, so it seems a bit odd to me that they don't think it's appropriate.
