Dizzy spells

Hi have you ever had any dizzy spells in relation to your tinnitus? If so what do you do to manage the symptoms?

You can try Buccastem or Proclorperazine and take your time getting up and down or moving your head to quick.

See your doctor if it does not settle or becomes frequently.

Tinnitus and the unwanted emotions that it can bring can cause disruption in to your daily life.

I have lived with Menieres and tinnitus in both ears really sever for over 12 years and it can impact on your mood like a rollercoaster.

Apart from sound therapy and maskers and hearing aids and counselling and medication we have to try do what we can to keep our mood up and put extra effort in to do things we like as it's so easy to give up on each day and let tinnitus win but I know days can be really challenging.

Thank you for that. I have other allergy issues but this tinnitus is the one that dominates my life and impacts my life in such a profound manner. It's also a hearing loss that's a day to day stressor and having to lip read.

Hi Glynis, nice to hear that you have imminent good news - and at a good time for you with the school holidays. Another grandchild to enrich your life. I am always there to help with my sister's young children - nephew 15, 2 nieces 11 and 9. They are on holiday this week so I am popping into theirs twice a day to look after the cat. Better to be busy isn't it?!

I still have ear pain - phoned audiology this morning but they said to go to GP. I have a GP appointment this week for another issue (had to wait 3 weeks!) so I hope the GP will allow me to ask about my ear pain too - usually allowed to discuss one problem only, per appointment!

Best wishes to you and yours, love, Angela xx

Weezer - good advice here, but I would also say go see your GP if you haven't already - there can be many causes of dizzy spells, many of which are treatable, and some of which could have a serious underlying cause. Hopefully not in your case, but better to check!
