Tinnitus - Weight loss or Weight gain?

It would be good to hear your views on this. I was about 12st when I got T and Hyperacusis. My weight went down to 10st 10lbs in about 4 weeks. I was going mad with insomnia and depression. I lost my appetite but it came back when I started mirtazapine. I felt constantly hungry but grazed rather than enjoyed large meals. I am now up to about 11st 5lbs.

My friend lost about 2stone in the first 3months with T and has not got it back.

How has it been for you?

Ade

Hi Ade, lost almost 2stones after T onset ~ eating mouse-portion meals, not sleeping etc, in a very dark place. Then, after mirtazapine and zopiclone meds, plus help of 1st class nhs audiologist, I gained all the weight and a bit more! Fortunately, now back to my normal healthy weight before T. But, don't do the miles of walking I used to do as I am too tired.

Love, Angela xx

Hi Angela.

Similar story to me. Funny how head stuff effects the whole body. Mirtazapine certainly gets you eating again.

Just had chocolate crunchies and have a donut set aside for when I get the kids to bed!!

Good luck on your journey.

Yep, treats definitely required after kids put to bed ! Make the most of those memories Ade as children grow up too quickly! But, of course, they will always be loveable and still your "children" no matter their age! Angela xx
