Can Stress make tinnitus worst ?

Hi mine the other way round I've got anxiety. Because of tinitus. It'd that loud I have to take sleeping tabs and Antidepressants I really not coping just keep crying

Quite definitely. That's what started my awareness of Tinnitus off! When we're stressed we are far less resilient - small things become enormous and one's 'fuse' just shortens! Hang in there .....go for a walk......look at nature.....get outside of your head.

Hi, stress is definitely the cause for a lot of people and high blood pressure. Also in my case medication I was given during and after surgery caused pulsatille Tinnitus, which then tuned into Tinnitus after a very stressful few weeks. But the good news is by exercising more, doing Yoga and eating lots of fruit & Veg it has got less intrusive. Still there when I wake in the night though. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Hi Gaby, good to read that you are coping. Mine was caused by the stress of a major op. Exercise makes mine worse! But I still like walking though not as many miles ! Angela xx
