Hi Pebble,

I am sorry to hear of the difficulties that you had with ESA. If you want to discuss this matter further. I can supply you with information regarding ESA and tinnitus, that you probably are not aware of. Please send me your email address by Private Messenger and not post it in the forum.

All the best

Michael

John does this mean they`re trying to get you to go back to work ? Sounds like they`re not very sympathetic. They don`t realise what tinnitus does to a person. You know that you`ve got the support of everyone at the group. Love Lynne xx

Hi Lynne,

What John / Pebble is saying is correct. Many of these so called "health professionals" at ESA health assessment centres know absolutely nothing about tinnitus other than it is a noise in the ears. Many of them are not doctors but nurses. I have factual information that will help John if he wants it.

Take care

Michael

That would be good Michael - I know how much John`s tinnitus affects him and I know he would be grateful for all the help you can give him.

Hi John,

Michael, I am sure, will give you good information which will help you with your case.

I was also wondering if Dot could help you - she sees you every week and knows like I do how much your tinnitus affects you and also how much benefit you get from coming to the group.

I`ll see you on Wednesday. Take care.

Love Lynne xx

Hi. Sorry you are having such a hard time , and that ironically or rather aptly for tinnitus that you feel noone is listening. I had horrendous experience with hearing department, and work wise I am living off my savings til they run out. This forum is good , members do listen and ditto BTA helpline. I think one of the problems is that if people don't have tinnitus or only have mild tinnitus ( like mine was at the beginning ) it seems Harcourt to understand what torture it is . Take care 😊
