Switching to NDT – How to build up dose?
After many years on levothyroxine 100mg, I have now been prescribed
Armour
thyroid
60mg (1 grain) to be taken twice a day, but starting at ½ grain twice a day. How quickly should I build up from this to 1 ½ grains per day, and then to 2 grains per day? After one week, two weeks ..?

Armour Thyroid for over 20 years
I have been taking
Armour
thyroid
since 2000... Have had my current Dr for at least 20. When I had COVID last time (about 2 years ago .. very mild case) I noticed my TSH was up (over 3...very high for me and on Armour). I mentioned it to my Dr and she suggested waiting, it could be temporary.

T4/3 combo
I’ve been taking
Armour
Thyroid
for over 20 years. Previously on NHS but we moved house to a different area and new GP wouldn’t even discuss it.
Armour
Thyroid
is now very expensive and not easy to obtain. I’m concerned about the long term importing and prescribing issues.

Very high blood pressure
My hashimoto was treated with Levothyroxine until 2020 when I saw a functional medical practitioner GP and am now taking
Armour
thyroid
NDT.. I have read that Hashimoto can be associated with high blood pressure but in any event I would like to get off the meds or at least reduce them.

Perplexed over lab work
I also developed hypothyroidism after giving birth and took
Armour
thyroid
for 2 years. My levels returned to normal and my doctor took me off the medication. Until now, my levels remained normal.

NDT Thiland
Hi, I’ve been taking
armour
thyroid
for 9 months or so now. I’m now up to 2.5 grains and the private clinic I use don’t think I’m at my optimal dose yet. I feel a lot better but the problem is that it’s very expensive. Dose anyone have any advice about getting NDT from Thailand and what brand.

T4/T3 Greece
I’m wondering if I pay to see a private doctor there I could get
armour
thyroid
or Erfa prescribed there at a more reasonable price? Or maybe just T3? I’ve just been quoted £175 for my refill of Armour 100 1 grain tablets…. It’s soooo expensive. Dithyron was 1.5 eur for 30!

Hypothyroidism and pregnant
I stopped levothyroxine because I was having terrible insomnia and restlessnees, head aces and feeling exhausted during the day, I then started on
armour
thyroid
but it hasn't helped my blood levels. My thyroid is still low.

USA changes status of NDT products. Their 'Grandfathered' status is to be removed.
Armour
Thyroid
have already made an application to go through the process of achieving biologic status. Bit it's a very expensive process so smaller produces may not. Most biologic drugs are infusions or injection so there is concern what this means for NDT producers.
