ā¼ Itās time to raise the roof on sun safety and skin cancer across the UK outdoor workforce and ensure employers take appropriate steps to safeguard employees and address UV exposure as a serious occupational hazard.āļø
This groundbreaking solution provides employers of outdoor workers and HSRs with everything they need to confidently address every aspect UV exposure in the workplace and fulfil their duty of care to prevent occupational skin cancer and promote early detection.
With outdoor workers at 60% greater risk of skin cancer, empowering employees through education is the linchpin of change.
Our comprehensive training programme for employees can be delivered in face-to-face group sessions or undertaken remotely in an employees own time. The training ensures workers understand the risks associated with UV exposure, know the steps to take to reduce their risk and know how to identify the early warning signs of potentially cancerous lesions.
The programme further supports employers with a wide range of additional resources and access to metrics and reporting data with which to monitor programme effectiveness.
Employers can also apply for their accreditation that subject to criteria being met, provides evidence of their commitment to appropriately addressing all aspects of UV exposure in the workplace.
