25mg prednisone first trimester- long term outcomes in baby

hi all,

I was wondering if anyone else here has taken 25mg of prednisone during first trimester for high NK cells? I took this with intralipid infusions.

I’m now in third trimester but have been reading that prednisone during pregnancy can be associated with developmental delay in infants and other problems.

Any ladies here that took prednisone? Were your babies ok?

hello I was on this until 12 weeks I was on a higher dose to start with. Then reduced to 25 until 12 weeks. We have a little girl who is 11 months. No issues, hitting all her milestones so far. Don’t worry about it xxx

I also took 20 mg prednisalone (steroid) during the first trimester. Before taking it I had advice from a Dr I trusted about side effects, there were a few rare ones, I forget the details, but do remember developmental delay wasn't one of them. My son is now 21 months and seems to be developing normally. I really wouldn't worry.
