I received my ultrasound results today and mostly everything is the same, except, it has capsule is nodular. Does anyone know what that means. My blood works seems to be okay.

Normally that goes along with a fibrosis condition, but it indicates that the liver looks rough to the radiologist. The capsule is the tough covering of the liver. It suggests that some additional testing would be appropriate to determine whether you have NASH. If possible get a Fibroscan test.

Hello Ree Taylor,

A nodular aspect of the liver surface results from the effects of fibrosis and the regenerative nodules on the capsule. This is a reliable sign of fibrosis, though it is subjective.
