🍏Ooh that sound really uncomfortable. To be frank I would send them back! They are either the wrong size or an inferior product. If they are running shorts. If not then don’t use them for running & look into summer running gear. So sorry ! 😔 xx

I run in capris rather than shorts. I use UK based Locket Loves, which often have cheaper deals on, especially for capris. They do them also with side pockets , I find this a big plus.

Yea, I do too usually but a recent stint of running in Kenya in 27 degrees and here this morning made me fancy a little less coverage!

My shorts are ok I think, but it’s that inner thigh below the seam that I need to address!

Might also be worth considering baggier or biker styles ReyC . While I also find capris too much when it's warm, I don't wear "short shorts" because my legs are far too chunky, even when I'm not carrying as many extra kg as I am at present.

Decathlon do a fab trail running pair which are Soo comfy but it’s such an individual thing isn’t it.. generally speaking the trail running gear offer looser fits.. I do agree with the others about Vaseline but found once I changed to a loose fit for longer runs my problem was solved.. I think it’s a bit of trial and error but Google summer running & see what you find xx

Bodyglide is your friend bodyglide.com or good old-fashioned Vaseline.

I get chafing in all sorts of areas 😫 The joys of summer running 😎

I’ll second Vaseline. I put it in certain areas, and no chafing. 🙏

This is the downside of running in the sunshine! It’s a really common problem that I don’t think can always be totally eliminated with good kit, especially on longer runs when it’s really hot. Another vote for bodyglide or Vaseline.

You can buy running underwear which prevents chafing while wear shorts. I have a few Decathlon running shorts which are fantastic. They have excellent inner lining that helps prevent chafing and are very comfortable. They also have great storage on the waist for storing parkrun barcode and fob for the car etc.

Big up from me too for the Decathlon “ baggy trail shorts”. I’ve got 4 pairs now

I like Gold Bond. It comes in a yellow & red stick (like a deodorant) & lasts for ages. A lot of running shops sell it but I usually get it from Amazon.

wearing as few clothes as you can. Loose shorts and no top at all when poss

You can ditch your top if you get too hot 🙂

I wear my underwear inside out as it’s the seams that chafe. I wear my tees and vests inside out too if I’m out of sight of the public ☺️

Cut labels out too as they can be like barbed wire 🙂

hi ReyC, my husband uses Bodyglide, available in most running shops I think. It’s only happened to me a few times, and wasn’t aware until I got in the shower later. Ooch. Good luck.
