4 Weeks After Operation Tight Scar

Hi I about to finish my 4th week after my circumcision and I am worried about my penis and particularly erect version of it.

Scar itself is healing and there is no pain anymore but when my penis is erect there’s literally a tight ring around it on the scar line and it is a bit painful and the skib between the circumcision line and the head of the penis still swollen.

The circumcision line is also not soft it’s a bit hard. Is this normal, this is stressing me out.

Following as I'm three weeks and have exactly same. I have I'd say a partial circumcision and when I pull foreskin back skin bulges out between scar and head and is pink in colour L.. Also scar quite hard too although all stitches not fallen out yet

I remember still having swelling at 4 weeks and although all the stitches were out, there was tightness on the scar line which was uncomfortable when erect. It'll take a bit longer for everything to heal up properly and everyone's healing time is different.

So for you things improved and the scar become les tight over time ? How long did it take for things to improve for you ?

Took about 8 weeks maybe but the coconut oil definitely helped.

When you're sure the wound has closed it's ok to use it

I’m on my week 5 now and have exact same experience.

On check up visit with doctor on week 4 he said that I still have swelling which should go down and skin will become more flexible.

I booked an appointment with the doctor as well but being this forum eased my anxiety a bit because having a tight line when erect is very worrying and I got the feeling that things it will always be the same 🤣

I saw the doctor today and he says everything looks good, it will get better over time. I also started using vaseline because of this forum since yesterday. I am less anxious now, just playing the patience game at the moment.

Hey how long since you were cut? Things will feel really tight for some time afterwards especially if you still have stitches. It will recover tho

Yes you'll be fine. I found it a bit scary at the time as I lost 1.5 ins but it all came back. Mine took some time cos I'm older but if you're a younger guy things should stretch back faster.

Yes it will come back once you're healed up properly and you start to use it again. How long to get full size back seems to vary a lot going by posts on here and everyone heals differently. Mine took forever because my cut wasn't straight forward and I'm also older than you.

Healed up completely in about 8 weeks but masturbating or sex was still uncomfortable sometimes and my cock was a bit red and swollen afterwards so had to take it easy for a while

Oh ok . What if the doctor cut too much skin off? I think he cut mine short but does it matter? I just have a feeling like he did mine short and tight

Too early to tell at 4 weeks. I thought that was my problem when I couldn't achieve my usual erection. Your penis has had a lot of punishment and needs time to get the blood flow back to normal. Do you still have swelling and what does the cut line look like? You won't get a true pucture of the end result till that's all gone

Its swells a little at the cut section and looks a lil tender still . And when u say the cut line are you trying to refer to where the stiches were?

Yes where the stitches were can feel quite tight for a while and the swelling doesn't let you see how it will be afterwards. Think you just need to wait a few more weeks till things improve. Do have a follow up appointment any time soon so you can raise any concerns with your gp/ consultant?

I already went he said its looking good and that it should blend in all nice within 6 months. And he did say he can cut off as much skin iff and the length will still be the same. But i guess i gotta heal more cus i get sad and exhausted when i cant perform yet

Yes it got me down too. At 4 weeks I still thought I'd made a mistake and didn't think my cock looked great at all. A few weeks later everything looked much better and I was really happy to get back to performing again at about 8 weeks. Lack of that gets you down if nothing else. Hang in there and things will soon improve. Take care
