I've just started reading 'The Art of Running Faster' by Julian Goater and Don Melvin. I'm finding it very interesting. Has anyone any other books they would recommend?

I loved "Born to Run" - Not a training manual, but a great read (and makes you seriously question if you've overspent on your shoes)

I agree with Tantrumbean, and would def recommend Eat and Run and Running Crazy (although her writing style irritated me, I enjoyed Reading about the 100 clubbers).

I can really recommend The Complete Book of Women's Running (I would say some useful stuff in there even for men) and 'No Need For Speed'

Haruki Murakami - What I Talk About When I Talk About Running. Not a technical book but a really interesting read about a brilliant writer who runs a marathon every year.

Thanks for the feedback. Certainly enough to be going on with. Like the sound of 'No Need For Speed' (probably because I've not been running that fast). But being a male I think I may give the women's running one a miss.
I'll have a look which ones are in the library before I consider buying any though.
