About 2 years ago I tried to get back into jogging after amputation, I went along to the local athletics club, I went for a couple of months but then got disheartened with problems and having to keep stopping for pain and having to adjust socket fit every 5 or so minutes. Also got told by prosthetic clinic that my prosthetic leg was not suitable for running, so I gave up going to the club for the time being and purchased a treadmill to help build up strengh, then early 2022, I got a new prosthetist, who recast me for for a new lighter socket( same foot ) , so still not supposed to run on it but distance between stopping to adjust were getting longer and longer. About 12 weeks ago , I started on C2 5K, it took me over 3 weeks to actually complete a week 1 run non stop, at that point I started running outdoors. It's taken me 9 weeks approx to complete week 6, I've returned to athletics club now and I'm now not the slowest runner there, and also I ran my longest distance yet yesterday morning, the club have challenged me to take part in their " Festive 5 " in December, so its onwards and upwards.👍

Your progress is amazing Pete, especially with the type of leg you are wearing. I was never able to run at all until I got the pin lock fitting. I hope you can get sorted with a better one soon. 🤞

What an inspiration, just want to echo what has already been said. A bit of bloody mindedness can help to achieve great things 👍 😉

That's brilliant, very well done you...hard to keep a good man down for long 👏
Can you not nag for Britain & talk them into considering you for a sports type prosthetic...a fit patient costs a lot less on the NHS in the long run 😊
