Your doctors should be able to give you something to help you sleep. There isn't any medication specifically for T, but the usual suspects that GP's provide are amitriptyline / nortriptyline amongst many others.
Epsom salts (magnesium crystals) mug full in hot bath and soak yourself for 20mins minimum....I usually catch myself falling asleep in the bath. Valerian root tea Celestial Seasonings Sleepy Time Extra is best - half hour before bed and a Sound Oasis sound machine playing next to bed. No naps during the day. To be fair these are probably more suitable long term sleep aids once the meds have got you back on an even keel. If Im really struggling 2 glasses of wine knocks me out. If Im REALLY stuggling Ill do the whole lot together.
hi joeb17, I too went without sleep and still do sometimes, 5 days and nights when I first got T but I had a very good doc. who gave me pills. sadly I have to take them every night or I wouldn't sleep at all. ive tried it! I hate them as every morning it takes awhile to get normal and anything planned for early morning I have to go to bed early so I can get up really early so the effect of pills wears off. I hate them! but I cant sleep without them my T is and has always been really loud right form the morning I woke up to it whistling in my head, see your doc the pills help but youll have to talk them round into giving you them long term good luck take care craw.
