I saw a post earlier and can no longer find it now but it was commenting on people not filling in their profile. Well I have a very out of date biog, I have updated it on numerous occasions, carefully with blood test results, current meds and supplements etc and every single time I save it, it disappears! It is so irritating I can't tell you. Now it has completely deleted my biog. Perhaps others have the same issue and I have now reported it. It happens on my laptop and on my mobile.

Skybeardie,

I think you may be referring to Marz comment in healthunlocked.com/thyroidu...

Members have been reporting problems saving their profiles for several years but HU don't seem to do anything to improve the situation.

I would suggest anyone producing a profile biography writes and saves it to a Word document and copies and pastes it into profile to avoid losing the information.

If not as a Word document, for example when using a phone without any extra apps, you could always write it as an email to yourself. That would save it (in your mailbox) and allow you to copy and paste it as needed.

No wonder people get annoyed, to say the very least. I wonder if people have reported this to Healthunlocked.

I now have a sneaking feeling that if you do too much at a time it just falls over when you save. I'm going to try shorter sections and save as I go when I try next and report back.

I did too much with the result I have one page of Profile and had to do the rest on a word document :)

Oh Skyebeardie how frustrating, all those details gone GGRRR !

I keep meaning to get round to doing mine, struggle to drag myself off the forum lol. I'll be aware now and perhaps do what Clutter suggests

I just tried to change and save mine as well.

Out of curiosity I have just made a tiny change to mine and it is there ... ???

Don't shoot me down as this is going to sound like the time you are asked 'did you switch it on?', but did you hit the green button 'save changes' much further down the page on the right?

Sorry, but just had to ask the bleedin' obvious!!!! :)

Yes, always and a dozen times over the months, you got lucky but I wonder if you did much to it or deleted it and rewrote a new one.

in reply to Skyebeardie

Weird isn't it!? I put biog up soonish after joining in Jan, and as things changed each month, have never deleted and rewritten, just amended including name alteration 🙄🤔

I don't know if this is helpful you may have sussed this since..... but I have just tried to amend my profile whilst using my phone and just as you have described, it doesn't save the changes. Stupidly didn't think to save the text first either :(

So, I decided to try on my PC and it didn't save the changes either ....... at first. But this time I saved the text. What I then found was that it would save chunks of about 2-3 lines. So I'd save them and go back and amend by pasting another bit.

Pleased to say that it works :)

SolsticeSS,

It shouldn't be so difficult! Glad you hacked it though. Would you mind emailing support@healthunlocked.com to advise the steps you had to take to alter your profile.

in reply to Clutter

Will do 😊

Thanks SolsticeSS for letting me know how you managed to get yours to work unfortunately I only have a crappy android phone, I'm one of those rare people who don't have a computer, I'm a bit of a technophobe.

in reply to Raventhorpe

I have selective technophobia 😁 but am a determined little minstrel.

Hey, less of the crappy Android some us have to use that as well 😉

I've emailed tech support and they were interested to know what operating systems I used. Oh that was it, how would I know that.... hubby to the rescue. Hope it helps get it sorted for everyone's sake. Hopefully you'll then have lift off - if we find out that is! 😊

I sent this thread to HealthUnlocked and have had the reply below from Uli:

Our tech team is aware of the issues with profile page, however it affects only selected users, therefore difficult to replicate. This thread is very helpful – I will be contacting the users tomorrow for more information.

Hopefully, the team will be able to fix it as soon as possible.

in reply to Clutter

Just got back to Uli - had to await hubby's input about systems used 😣
