Male 26 white 6ft 350 pounds down from 380 in 2 months.

History of acid reflux been on lansoprazole for 5 years had endoscopy done in past few years but no sign of if, but when I stop medication I get symptoms of tasting acid in my throat.

8 years on ramipril for high blood pressure.

Asthma when I was a child.

Started fluoxetine on 6th January

6th January 1st time had these what I think are Eptobic beats, my heart would pause for a second or so and I would have this strange feeling in my chest, I have had them every day since.

13th Jan Shortness of breath started when sitting or lying feels like my breathing is being blocked or restricted at the same time I started getting trapped gas and burping after every thing I eat or drink " I do not eat anything that can cause this to happen" and this is still on going.

Feb 8th Shortness of breath has gotten worse and now affects me when walking at times I feel like ive done a work-out when im hardly moved, but then there are times I can walk and be okay. I started to awake up at night, feeling very restricted with my breathing.

Feb 10th and 24 hours of pains all over my belly and around 20 episodes pure water dirahear,

Feb 11th and on going, I feel nausea all the time with no appetite and when ever I do eat a meal hours later it tends to come back up my food pipe and I feel tightness in the chest.

Feb 13th stools seem orange and lighter in colour than normal and been getting stabbing pains in stomach area and to the right.

Ive been A and E number of times, they have done ECG Bloods and chest x-ray all normal.

Had Ultra sound done a month ago due to other reasons on my liver pancreas and gallbladder which was normal other than a fatty liver which I've had for a long time.

I just do not know what going on or what else to do to try and make them listen and do something.

Has anyone got any ideas at all what could be happening, Anything would be appreciated thank you !

Not a helpful reply, Nikon, when helpmexo is already anxious about his health! ECG was normal, bloods ok. Helpmexo, this could all be symptoms of stress, especially the palpitations, when you are worried about your health anyway. The fluoxetine should be working by now, so perhaps you need a higher dose. See your GP again to review this. With the reflux, try to have smaller meals, eat slowly if possible. Let us know how you get on.

I agree with Gillyflower7, it sounds very like anxiety. I am going through the same thing. Had every test you can think of, all clear thank goodness however with no clear answer and symptoms still ongoing it doesn't really help. Definitely go back to your GP. Be completely honest about all your symptoms and maybe ask for a referral to community mental health. You may not need to be seen for counselling however they can offer help and advice in the form of online courses etc.Have you ever been tested for helicobactor pylori? It's simple enough to treat but can cause a lot of unwanted symptoms.

Hope you get some answers soon

Stress is a killer like you all have had I've had all the tests top endscopy and colonoscopy CT scan. Ultrasound all clear. The mind is very Strong. Especially with the stomach and bowels (brain/gut thing). I've had to go on olanzapine and mirtazpine , lost 2 stone in weight Gastritis and IBS . I agree with you anxiety and depression.

Your situation is very similar to mine. I've also lost 2 stone. My world of food has become so small. I really fear I'm heading down the root of an eating disorder

Hi MrsYellow, thanks for your reply, I'm down to see a dietitian but not till April but they say just plain food, nothing spicy, my sister is a retired nurse, she came to all of the test with me, she tells me to snap out of it and stop worrying. If your before April with the dietitian tell me how you get on and what she advices. I go in Holland & Barrett bought camomile tea which is very good decaff only X

I have started seeing her already. She has advised me to cut out dairy for 3wks. I'm only 2 weeks in so probably too early to tell however I have had a few good days in the last week. I'm continuing to follow lowfad map too for the time being. I have to eat a good variety of fruit and veg but it's been a struggle to eat things that I typically have avoided as I'm scared they'll upset me. I think it's going to be a case of slowly building back my confidence where food is concerned. Some of my family say the same thing as your sister but they don't understand its not as easy as just 'snapping out of it' if only it was!!

I would make an appointment with your gp. Tell him about all of your breathing, heart and intestinal issues.

Could be side effects of Fluoxetine, there are lots of reviews on SSRI’s causing heartburn/acid reflux, made mine much worst and felt like palpitations too. Make sure you drink a whole glass of water when taking and maybe eating straight after too, so that the tablet goes right down.

helpmexo, I agree with B1B1B1. If that gp is not listening you need to change soon. As to your fatty liver look into Delta Tocotrienol. Coincidentally, B1 (thiamine) together with magnesium to activate it may offer possible relief for many of the symptoms you are listing. Do a search on each..the anxiety, shortness of breath, heart skipping, GI issues, appetite and acid reflux. There are anti thiamine factors that deminish thiamine. A comprehensive list can be found by searching on "stuttering anti thiamine factors". The B vitamins work better together. Magnesium too can be lost. Search on "krispin magnesium" for a list of causes. Always consult with a health care professional before using any supplement.

I suffer from the same thing when lying or sitting in the car for too long. Just like you it can be simple things like bending to do shoe lace, cleaning my teeth or climbing hills. It feels like I have a band around my chest and stomach. I have all the other symtoms you mention at times too. I think it's muscles but I cannot get any sensible results from thd specialist. I hope you get results. I would love to know. Best wished.
