MAO B Inhibitors
Has anyone had any experience with increased light sensitivity from
selegiline
or Azilect? From what I can learn on Google, this is a common side effect from MAO B inhibitors.

Selegiline a new drug for me!
I went to see my neurologist last week and he suggested I started to take
selegiline
. I'm already taking madopar and reprinerole. Is anyone else taking
selegiline
and what are your thoughts on this drug?.

Did hear or this ?
Therefore, there are used drugs that either increase synaptic dopamine release or inhibit its degradation (
selegiline
). Another useful drug in Parkinson’s disease treatment is levodopa, which acts as a dopamine precursor.

Azilect (Rasagiline)
Selegiline
and rasagiline (brand name Azilect), are generally given in the early stages of PD in order to slow the progression of symptoms of PD.

ECT electroconvulsive therapy... used to be called electro shock therapy
I have been back to my Psychiatrist and reported no improvement in depression/anxiety with Emsam patch-
selegiline
. This is after numerous attempts with SSRI's and SNRI's. He wants to try lamactil which is used for bipolar and seizures thinking I might be bipolar.

Self managing PD - Are we serious or not?
Drugs are prescribed that interact with our pd drugs, I was personally prescribed a drug in common use that interacted with
selegiline
. Chemist, GP, PD Nurse, Neuro were unaware until I read the leaflet and pointed it out.

Anyone have experience with Emsam?
It was good with him prescribing a patch called Emsam, a
selegiline
MAOI. I think it is like Azilect. Any comments or observations? Thanks

Medication.
At the moment I am on 10 mg of
selegiline
. My neuro said to go and see him when I feel I need 'stronger' meds. I am terrified of starting DA's because of reported ocd's, but know the day will come. Would really appreciate any feedback. Thanks in advance for your time x
