Pain Medication Question
Any advice for pain medication. Husband is on hospice and bedridden. Leg muscles have atrophied. He experiences pain when he is moved by caregiver. Morphine and tramadol are too strong and suppress the appetite. He has already lost a lot of weight and can't afford to lose more. He is willing to

Can anyone share UK treatment guidelines for psoriatic arthritis that doctors use? All I find when I look online at the NICE website is the guidelines for psoriasis which are no help. I want to know at what stage I should get more than painkillers (currently on etoricoxib as needed which does help and

Does anyone take pantoprazole with MtX?
During this weekend I have had a bad pain in my esophagus. I get that from time to time, probably due reflux caused by the prednisolone and PMR, as it is worse during a flare. I usually take pantoprazole a couple of days and it heals up fast (doctor's prescription). However - now I am on MtX since

Tylenol 3 with Codeine…I need a substitute…Help
I’m stage 3b and maintaining. I just had foot surgery this morning. My orthopedic surgeon consulted with my nephrologist and decided Tylenol 3 with Codeine would be best to start . If that didn’t work I could take low dose Hydrocodone/Acetaminophen 10-325mg. The Tylenol 3 is making me vomit, but

Early signs of ovarian torsion?
Hi all, I’ve had a large endometrioma (around 11cm) for about a year now and am on the waiting list for surgery. On my period now and was in a lot of pain, which is common for my periods. But the pain has felt different - rather than feeling it all over my abdomen, I’ve just felt it in my lower right

Common Symptoms.
A strong

killer
administered once and it would abate. I also had intermittent temporary loss of level of hearing and vision. I would need speakers at times and then not. With the vision I would need to increase the size of the text on my phone or lap top.

Oar Gel and gold placements for beginners on this journey
I am a beginner on this PC journey but feel fortunate that I caught my cancer before it had spread beyond the prostate. I caught sepsis from my directed transrectal biopsy and spent a lovely few days in ICU flirting with the nurses and trying not to mess up the bed and floor too much. I have 9 weeks

Past my sell by date!
thanks to our PMR pro who identified the awful buttock pain I’m still experiencing. However a couple of days ago I also developed the easily recognisable symptoms of cystitis! As most of you will know the pain is horrific- feels like my vulva is being split. I’m taking pain killers but these are then

Fear of the unknown.
Fear of the unknown Good morning fellow sufferers. Does anyone else have a dread/ irrational fear of going to the toilet first thing in the morning & not knowing what is going to happen? I stay in bed as long as possible to avoid having to go (unless it feels urgent) as I never know if it’s going to

Angina
Hi, I have angina since I had my heart attack about 18 months ago. This heat is making the angina worse and I also have insomnia. I had a hospital report from my cardiac MRI and will need further hospital tests in the next few weeks. I cope with GTN spray and Amlodipine as the heat affects my blood

Pain relief.
I used to be able to control the pain by sticking to a very low fat diet. But for the last 18months I've been in pain every day, I have also found that the pain becomes worse when I'm walking which is really getting me down as it is hard to avoid walking it is necessary. Could anyone tell me what they
